Recently, I ran across Amazon's slogan: "Work Hard. Have fun. Make History." It bears a certain resemblance to Epic's slogan: "Do Good. Have Fun. Make Money." I'm not sure whose slogan came first, but I'm curious about who copied whom.

Google: Do No Evil.
Facebook: Move Fast With Stable Infra. Previously, it was Move Fast, Break Things.
Ha, came across your blog. Very nice. Myself- never worked at Epic but over at American Girl. Was fired after 8 years of working there, for about the same reason as you all were fired. Difficult boss. Sill can't figure out why I was fired. Keep up the good work.

ReplyDeleteI'm sure similarities are obvious but the biggest difference is probably that Epic employees aren't so vicious to each other... that being said I'm sure at least one person has found themselves "buried" by a string of negative reviews from the same group of people.
This article really hit home. When I was at Epic, my friends who worked at Amazon were going through similar things. The environment at Epic is toxic, but seems even more extreme at Amazon.
